My focus is to capture overlooked moments and whom they belong to. I seek to document these small but daily commonalities to ground readers in similarities and foster empathy rather than division.

I'm a Southern California based visual storyteller who grew up in San Diego and New York.
I studied visual journalism at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2020. Beginning my photojournalism career in the height on the pandemic amid the stay-at-home orders, I was propelled to examine the intersection of various social issues and inequities through a nontraditional lens in my fellowships at The GroundTruth Project (Migration Fellow) and the Pulitzer Center (Crisis Reporting Fellow). I also studied directing at UCLA Extension and work in both documentary and narrative filmmaking.
I am currently a staff photojournalist at the Black Voice News and a CatchLight Local Fellow and Report for America corp member.
As a project-based and community-driven photographer, my work aims to create a visual archive for communities that historically have not had one. From collaborating with families in the rural Midwest to the San Diego’s Somalian refugee community, I’ve explored the topics of the the female experience and the role of agency, the family unit, motherhood, immigration, and addiction.
I am available for commissions nationally for both photography and video projects.
